Dzia is a Belgian artist and something of an enigma in the Antwerp area. A fine artist in every sense, the creations of Dzia range from paintings, through sculpture to taxidermy and street works and among other things he is also creator of copyzine KRANK.

It is more then just art, its something you will feel and see...it is raw emotion at its best and worst.

In his hometown of Antwerp, street artist Dzia is something of enigma – his animalistic murals pop up all over the city’s walls, breathing life into abandoned urban areas, as well as appearing in other cities all across Europe.

“From a young age art has always been a great interest to me. My uncle was an artist and my whole family have always been very creative. This passion carried me through my younger years until I eventually went on to study a masters in fine art at the Royal Academy in Antwerp.

After I graduated I really wanted place my artwork onto walls. I focused on creating a truly unique graphic style, using abstract and geometric lines to implement into animalistic forms. I’ve been painting on walls for around two and half years now.

New ideas come very easily to me, so my work is very spontaneous – I paint quickly and in-situ to make sure the original idea stays true to its form.” - Dzia -

Krank" is a handmade copyzine with 50 examples (around 40 pages per piece) printed, each with a very cool color stencil cover. The zine is filled with fine examples of a scene that continues to expel itself, keeping outsider art alive. Started by Dzia, price varies based on production costs, but the issue comes out every 4 months no matter what shit goes down.
All artists in Krank are people liked, admired, supported or defended by Dzia and he made the zine to support other artists like himself. And ... it rocks!
Well out there and well oiled.
